For the implementation of instruments on cooling units, the differences between the various types of coolers must be considered. Each type of cooling principle requires a different solution. Naturally, the same applies to continuous mixers.

The residual moisture and temperature should be measured at the input and output with highly sensitive sensors. Again, the calculated water volume is added by means of vaporiser nozzles onto the sand bed in this case.

Equally, the cooling air must be monitored. The filling of the cooling unit should take place at a constant rate; this is attained by means of a pre-container, where sand can be drawn off consistently. The measuring of volumes may also be conducted with a conveyor scale. Fill level indicator and track switch ensure the continuous drawing-off.
