Procedure:
The preparation cycle:
1. The used sand is placed on the scale. Here the moisture and the temperature is measured with the Lippke-method. Then the required amount of water is calculated.
2. Bentonite and other additives are added, considering the recipe and the testing results of preceding batches.
3. Used sand, additives and the calculated amount of water are added to the mixer.
4. A testing sample is taken and will be measured.
5. The testing results are compared with the recipe specifications. If the bach is in the tolerance range it will be approved.
Either water will be added, or in the case that the batch is too wet (wich has to be the result of a malfunction), it will be declared as corrupt.
6. The measuring results are transferred to a data base and will be used for the further controlling of the process. The results can also be transferred into the Lippke Foundry-sand management system, where they can be used for further processing.
